Grain is a small bar in Melbourne.
The brief called for branding to reflect the bar's warm and inviting interior and reflect the client's attitude towards good food, beer and wine. The bar's interior features recycled brick, re-purposed wood, worn leather and warm incadescent light. An identity for the bar was created around the concept of grain: as a texture in wood and leather and also a singular particle of salt and wheat. The logo was developed by deconstructing the shapes within the microscopic pyramidal structure of a grain of salt.
